Rear suspension tune up

The 300C suspension and stability are quite reasonable and acceptable for me except the behavior on bumpy roads at fair speeds where you find the rear of the car bouncing up and down more than you expect in a Mercedes or a BMW . Have anyone tried a modification with the rear springs or shock absorbers to solve this problem and stiffen the rear suspension a bit ? I dont want to lower the car . Thanks

Bags or lowering springs such as eibach pro kit with dampners or the Kw-V2's.

20" wheels and KwV2's coilovers will completely eliminate the high bounce. The ride will be slightly stiffer/shock-ridden, but that is a small price to pay for a huge improvement in handling and taught/controlled ride. Oh, and the lowered ride will look better too.

Or simply go with the KW V2 coilovers themselves.

If you adjust out all additional drop before install, your car will be lowered no more than 3/4" to 7/8" inches. It's likely your stock springs have sagged a bit by now, in which case it would be a wash.

Your ride would then surpass that of a Mercedes or a Bimmer.

Switching tires out goes a long way to reducing IRS hop.

When I went to BFG G-Force TA KDW-2 (255/55/18 - $126.00 from Tire Rack) the rear hop almost disappeared and the ride and handling increased tremendously.
