Hi everyone, I'm interested in having a carputer as well did some research a while back and here's my list:

Display:

1. 7" InDash VGA Touchscreen - fully motorized: (I can't get a double din or full screen in my car because no one LOCALLY would be able to modify the bezel ).

Barebone/CPU/RAM:

1. VoomPC-2 (Black Edition)
2. Jetway 7F2WE-1G5-OC (Alternative for VIA EN15000)
3. RAM 1024MB DDR-II 533MHz CL4

HDD:

1. 2,5" HDD 40GB SATA

CD-ROM/DVD/CD-R:

1. SLIM-LINE DVD-LW

Operating System:

1. MS WIN XP Pro english MULTI-LANGUAL

Audio/Power/Accessory:

1. M1-ATX 6-24V DC/DC (90 Watts)
2. Adapter SlimCD-to-IDE
3. Adapter SATA-HDD 2.5" to SATA-MB and Power

GPS:

1. CTFGPS-1 USB GPS Maus (Sony GA-4 chipset)

If you guys suggest something else I'll be very happy to receive your advice and suggestions... and BTW let's make this thread our Bible

I'll meet a professional guy in installing car audio systems this week and I'll get his feedback and post it in here once am done

Hi Eugene81 ... I'm in the middle east "Oman" ... it's very hard to find someone to do plastic welding in here (there must be someone but it's hard to find ) anyway, I'm only worried about our stock amplifier - I was told that it sucks and I might need to get a better one to pull this job is this true ??
