do you have the PAC setup so you retain the steering wheel controls? That's going to be a must have IMO.

I haven't seen a pac set up that will integrate. Basically a pac set up for the steering controls is based on the unit your installing. What they need is a universal since it send the signal via infared remote to the deck. So if you could teach the pac and the pc to comunicate it would be cool.

As for the canbus, I have never seen this either. The trigger board is simply a 12v trigger that is on of off. So you have to do rewiring. I plan on relocating all the switch to a location that is not visable and smoothing all the old locations out. I think is would be one of those understated mods until you point it out. Then it is "CRAZY, that is the sh*T"etc. !! If you know what I mean. I also thought about the OBDII but I was told it won't read our system. If you could then you'd be able to eliminate the cluster and replace it with an LCD TV like in a Honda. This is cool because at this point you can display the readings you want and customize you view (IMO, super cool)!

Once I get some time and $$ I will post pix but right now I'm focused on selling and setting up dealers for this new 3 wheeler I have dist right for. It is crazy and kicks the T-REX. It is called the E-volution. There is one on display right now at the Toronto Int. Auto show. Check it out!

From what I've seen, using the PAC shoulding be all that hard. That's news to me about the OBD-II though... hmmm.

Good info, thanks for sharing.

The new ride is pretty sweet too, good luck getting the ball rollin on it.

I'd take the OEM cheapo unit, throw it in the glovebox (or somewhere else), and plug the aux jack into the computer.

If I do this mod it's going to involve a mac mini of some sort.

why m2-atx?

The M2-ATX is an intelligent, high power, vehicle (car / boat / electric cart) 12V DC-DC ATX PC power supply designed for CarPC and battery powered applications. Designed to provide power and to control the ON/OFF switch of a motherboard (CarPC) based on ignition status, the M2-ATX is a wide input (6 to 24V) vehicle/car/ battery operated ATX power supply capable of surviving tough car engine cranks (down to 6V) as well as transient over-voltage situations. Just connect it to and power up your PC!

short-circuit.com - M2-ATX 160W PSU

u can go with opus 260w if u need more juice...
im not too sure if opus has auto on/off module though...

m1-atx 90w and m2-atx 160w...

im gonna work on it this week ill post some pics...
