I have a vision...............but I can't see it clearly, I need help!

I envision the day that I am riding down the road with PM at the wheel and I reach to my side, and lower the back of the seat, raise the front a bit and settle in for nice comfortable snooze.

Here's the problem............my seat doesn't do any of that!

So, if I could get my hands on another driver's side seat, can it be modified to switch the controls to the other side, so it could be properly used on the opposite side of the car?

or

How hard would it be to get hold of a driver's seat from a RHD model?

or

Does the "C" or the SRT8 come with that type of power seat on the passengers side?

or

PM would prefer it if I could do this while keeping the original seat, can the OEM seat be modified to add the power features?

You will probably have to get a 300C seat. I might be wrong too.

i envision it will be very expensive to get a RHD seat. My Passenger seat seems identical to my driver's seat except without the memory. you'll probably check with the NA members to see if they have the same for their C models.

Passenger seat in the 300c is power.
I guess it would fit and you need to find a power source for it.
And the leather is different also I think.

Good catch greedyk. I forgot about the leather being different. So PD, how bad did you want to take that nice, comfortable snooze?

If I remember correctly, weren't yall looking at going w/ new leather seat covers? Not sure if 'covers' is the correct terminology, but if you're going to do an entire new interior, going w/ the 300C passenger seat may not be a bad option. Just depends on the cost I guess.

PD

here is a question..

what model do you have?

I have the full 300c interior in light grey stone (tan) and Kidcoastal has the grey covers...

my passenger seat is power forward and reverse up and down, but manual recline (all 300c's are, the SRT8 and Daytona's are power recline)

I also have the frames for the driver and passenger seats. In the case of the passenger seat, all that is needed is power and ground to make them work, on the drivers seat for non memory cars power and ground is needed but if you have memory feature then a whole bunch of other parts are needs.

So....

Which model do you have, and how badly do you want power seats?

is that true?? have i stumbled upon another difference between the NA models and the "export" models?? our 300C seats are power recline! the only manual adjustment is the headrest height and the lumbar support.

So PD wants to nap while PM drives. Now that is a man who trusts his wife implicitly!

Sounds like you’ve got a few options before you PD….so just how bad to you want power seats for the passenger? You can get them of course, just depends on how much $$ and how hard to install I guess.

BTW…..lay off the booze and those “visions” won’t come nearly as often.

Yes... you'll need the 300C passenger seat... and power to run it. Wouldn't recommend an SRT8 seat... too different and more comfortable. Then you'd have to do the same to the driver's side... so while you're add it, just do a radiator cap mod, rather than a seat mod... same difference... no?

PM has the Touring. I am guess with the responses, that there is no way to add the power features to the touring seat? As to the covers, well I guess that will be resolved after this issue is. I am guessing from what Spectre said that getting a RHD seat would definitely be cost prohibitive, leaving the only option as getting my hands on a seat from a "C". Which leads us to the question of whether or not the seat is the same other than the power. I would never have known the difference in the seat, except for when I took PM's ride to the dealer to fix that molding issue (the rear bumper not the bathroom) i figured since i was going to have the car the whole day i might as well adjust to my liking, and boy did i like! I was raised with a short mother that loved big cars (the Olds 98 and the buick Electra 225, is what she had, also the 74 or 75 i can't remember which, Monte Carlo) and I wasn't allowed to adjust the seat at all other than straight back, so anyway i was reluctant out of habit, to change anything on PM's seat setting. Now it's like night and day sitting over htere on the passengers side.
