Group Buy dash kits?

Sorry I put this on the exterior mods; anybody know what happened to the group buy on dash kits? I thought that we had a group buy working on the Satin Nickel finish dash kit like slk320 has.

I just wrote an email to the manufacturer for this very same 22pc kit. I have been waiting here to see if this group buy would ever take place, but I could not find the thread! So I wrote to them asking if there was such a discount and what the price would be.
I will post here as soon as I here back.

That was my problem, I couldn't find the thread. I'm sure it wasn't my imagination; I'm sure that there was one.

Quite frankly, I would have never envisioned buying a dash kit w/o being a member of this forum, so being a member here should entitle one to a discount regardless of purchasing ten kits at once. Those same kits will probably be purchased at sometime or another anyways. A $20 discount with free shipping that others have received is IMO a reasonable offer and certainly any monetary discount in excess of this would be even better-I state this knowing the dash kit suppliers will read this thread. I WILL be purchasing my kit in the upcoming months as soon as it becomes hot enough for my installation.

The group buy was removed because the vendor is not a supporting vendor for 300cforums. Group buys are only allowed from supporting vendors.

So if a member of the forum arranges a group buy from a manufacturerer then it's not really a group buy unless the manufacturerer is a supporter of this forum?

That seems to go against the spirit of this forum.

But you are right....the thread for the group buy of the dask kit is gone.

Can't we talk to dsg049c on the side through PM's and get it done like we were before. None of the supporting vendors seem to be stepping up and taking over?

I don't believe that to be true. Roman, owner and proprieter of NYC dashes sold me that kit, even though I called customer service number of another company.... NYC dashes deal with Westwood and other dash manufacturers and still derive profit from our orders.. and they are a site sponsor right?
