Rear center console?

I've seen custom jobs done before with the rear center console, but now I'm seriously considering one just so I can have an excuse not to pack 3 people in my back seat, lol. I dont want to spend a fortune to have some shop fabricate something completly custom, so Im trying to look at my options on this one. I'm not sure where I saw it, but I remember it looked like someone took the same front center console and used it in the backseat as a divider. I'm thinking this may be the easiest way to do this, while still preserving a 'stock look'. I also wanted to mount a new slim PS2 in there.

So this one goes out to you guys....Wes, TommyZ, Aspendog.....how hard would this be for a shop to do (in my area there are not many good custom auto shops) and how much am I looking at spending (ballpark) so I can have an estimate before i pursue this any further. Pics of rear center consoles might also help if anyone has em! Thanks guys!

I have an extra front console and contemplated the installation to the rear. It looks like it could be done but one would have to plumb the a/c vents (I was thinking in the cup holders where they could be directional) I would guess at least $1000 to do the fabrication and installation. Sure would look great though... Hope this helps.

ostress- yep thats the one i was talking about. in fact its exactly what i want to do, except add a ps2 where the wood grain is. perhaps an ashtray and some cupholders for that matter. id really like to find out whos car that is and speak with them (if you're reading this please speak up!). im not a fan of that enormous screen thats there, but other than that the car looks amazing.

aspendog, ill send you and PM about that extra center console......and if i do it similiar to the way pictured, i wont need to re-plumb the ac vents!

matrix's pic is the maxima. Ostress' pic is the asc's 300C helios concept.(very close to becoming production)

2+2 is nice!!! Personally the helios is the one I like. Now if the rear buckets could recline and adjust!!

I have to keep my C a lil' more practicle but for those doing this mod...go for what you know and post pics when done!
