MGD, looks very good. Are you using the factory amp and factory speakers?

Car PC Alternative

Just wanted to give you a bit of knowledge so you don't make the same mistakes I did....the hobbyist stuff is fine, but more often than not you will end up doing more work for less in the end. The first thing to avoid is to get an Intel-based PC and NOT a Via-based one. The reason for this is that people get caught up in the GHz and the board chipset is equally if not more important. There are benchmark reports all over the net that will put the 1.0 GHz Nehemiah Via chipset BELOW a Ultra-low power 633 MHz Celeron. I personally recommend the Xenarc PCs as you can get Celeron 2.0 GHz - P4 3 GHz power in your car (http://www.xenarc.com ).

Secondly, take the money you'll save by ripping things out and replacing the equipment with commercial telematics software - namely the iMobile systems (http://www.imobilepc.com). You can purchase software separately from the system and they offer you a solid supported piece of software that has everything integrated. I use it everyday and it kicks.

Good luck and happy building!
