Just as long as I can do away with the tortoise shell! Lol. I'd probably swap out the door pulls with the black leather SRT-8 pulls, and the dash trim will get the black chrome treatment, but I've noticed people mentioning it's a real b!tch to remove the tortoise shell and find a suitable replacement. I could probably live with woodgrain in there.

Funny...

I like the all black doors but I find this funny. Post after post about giving seats the two-tone treatment and now a post about doing away with two tone doors... We all just want to change stuff!!! As I sit, waiting with baited breath, to swap my seats to SRT8's and change all my interior colors around... So do those doors work on the '06? I gotta have 'em! But I don't know why!

clean300c, I think they will, but it depends on how ya do it, I mean if you just replace the lower half of your dash/doors, it should bolt right in, but the door panels are a little different (they've got an extra shape to em) so they might not be a perfect fit (but I'm sure they WILL fit).

The console, OTOH, will come close, but then won't fit.

the 08 interior is nice, i really like it, aside from the whole exposed cupholder thing. other than that, its lookin' good.

i didn't even notice the one color door pannels until this thread.

For starters it dose not have any weight to it, it feels cheep and I dont get that secure feeling from it. It is the same key for the dodge mini van that i have as a rental and it just does not seem right. they should have opted for more of the Renault styled key where it is more like a credit card and a push start ignition, its just my opinion. I like my key the old style key.

Renault card key:

My Chrysler key:

I'm torn. If it's ultra light weight I don't think I like it either. It looks much like some of the last-gen benz keys but they were substantial not feather weight.

It's the same system, but the fob is bigger to accomodate for more buttons (remote start and all the door releases the minivans have)..

The 2009s will have completely keyless entry/go (you keep the fob in your pocket) - I hope they go for a credit card key, but it'll likely be whatever mercedes decides to use

Honestly there's no reason to buy a 2008 right now unless you get a killer deal - the 09s will be available without the gigantic stick antenna on the roof, and you might be able to order them without sirius (eg, NO antenna on the roof! SWEET!) just like my 06 is

Plus the keyless go

Oooh, several more reasons for me to try harder to be sure I can replace my current car by end of year.
