Steering wheel/shift knob

Okay, I have searched the forums and gone over the threads and can't seem to find anything on how to remove the steering wheel controls and the shifter insert on a 07 300 srt8. Mine is here in the shop getting kandy two-toned and I wanted to color match the steering wheel parts and the shifter insert.

See this thread for steering wheel controls:
Steering Wheel Trim

As for the shifter insert, do you mean the chrome piece? If so, you just pull.

Thanks! That thread answered my question about the steering wheel controls. As far as the shifter piece goes, I am talking about the silver/wood grain insert in the shift knob itself.

For the shift knob, on the front side of the shifter below the silver ring there is a small indentation take a small flat tip screwdriver and push up toward the top of the shifter knob and the ring will drop down and you can remove the knob.
