Crome interior door handle/panels

Has anyone removed the interior chrome accent trims on the door handles and replace them with a kit... say from wooddash? I bought the door accent trim kit but the slim accent doesn't fit that slim chrome accent on the doors, so I was thinking about just removing them and placimg the kit accents on there inplace of... has anyone done this and are there some areas of concern that I should worry about???
