Cabin Air Filter

I have 2005 300c without the cabin air filter. Is there a way to add one? WIX show the filter to be behind the glove box. I have hay fever real bad in July,August and part of September here in Nebraska.

Help would be much appreciated.

this kit is easy to install in the engine compartment. took me about 10 minutes to study the directions and 20 minutes to do.

purolator and napa/wix make replacements for 1/3 the cost of the dealer.

I got mine from Mopar supercenter as well. A little PIA to install, but nothing dramatic.

Im not sure how much it will help your alergies though. The filter does stop larger dust particles from getting in, but it doesnt seem to do much more than that. All smells still get in and the filter doesnt seem to be anti-alergenic?

Cabin Filter

I am hoping that it will work as good as the one in my 2002 Thunderbird. By the way, WIX has a filter with some kind of antibacterial properties (Charcoal Impregnated Media). I may try that after I have the conversion installed.

I am surprised that no dealer mentioned this retrofit when I complained about not having the filter. This website has been a great help to me.

Thanks to all.

Most here will agree with you. You will find far more help, ideas, and assistance at a forum such as this than you will ever get from most folks at dealerships who are mainly focused on vehicle sales rather than keeping up with extended customer service after the sales.
