Group-buy: Katzkin Leather Interior

I am starting this thread to seen how many people would be interested in a custom leather interior group buy. This would only be for the leather cut and fitted for all the seats. You will need to have them installed locally which is anywhere between $300 - 500 in labor. Heated seats can also be installed at the same time. We can probably get the price at or below $700 for custom 2 Tone seats with piping around the seats. See attached picture.

I like many base model owners bought this car with the intention if customizing it the way I want, not the way Chrysler thinks you want it. The last thing on my list to do is have custom leather seats.

If there is enough interest, I will try to set this up.

Just so you know we offer custom interiors for the 300C and would certainly be interested in offering a GB price it there is enough interest. Our kit is superior to Katskinz because of the quality of fitment, leather and the amount of foam we use. We offer any materials you want including suedes, leather, vinyl, etc. We are also a supporting vendor of this forum.

Also, why would someone only swap skins on the front seats, or was $700 for the rear bench as well? If it was I would question the quality and materials at that price, there is no way it is all leather at $700 my materials cost more than that not to mention the labor, overhead, etc.

aspendog,

This would be for the front and back seats, but does not include the install. I'm not an expert in leather, but I do know that Chrysler uses Katzkin leather.

I'm not intending on stepping on a supporting vendors toes here and im not selling these kits. I'm just offering to try and set this up so that we can have custom leather and a lower price point.

I'm not sure what to attribute the price difference to. I know that Katzkin is a major manufacturer of leather seats. I don't know if their costs are lower and more systematized.

PPI,
I am sorry i have to be the one to break this to you, but last time something like this happened with a company called GS motor sports who tried to sell supercharges without having a supporting vendor license, there thread got closed and completely removed.

Either way, $700 for all seats can't be good. Good leather, even when it's produced in a big run, costs about $500 per front seat and $1000 for the back seat. I would look into the quality of their leather before buying.

Come to think of it, I saw Katzkin stuff on that Spike TV show "Trucks!" and it reminded me very much of stock Chevy leather.

PZ,
I could care less if the thread getts closed or completly removed. I'm just offering to help the community. Let me repeat, I AM NOT SELLING THESE! I don't sell this stuff, im going to buy it and am seeing if anyone else wants to buy it with me to get the price lower. Do you know how to read!

PPI, I don't think he was trying to be mean, I think he was just trying to let you know that this may not work out as planned. Personally, I don't think the mods should lock it up, but I am just throwing my cents in that I wouldn't buy leather that the whole set cost $700 without seeing it first. Even an uncut half-hide is like $400 IIRC.
