For all of you with non Navigation 300s, did you install a tv + dvd player?

I was thinking about getting a panasonic or alpine dvd player for my car, one of them that flips up. I was just wondering if anyone had one in there car and how does it look? I would put it in that space slot under the AC controls, I assume thats were everyone puts theres. Pictures would help. I have not seen one not fliped up, I assume when it flips up it will flip[ straight up and not be tilted down because the knobs for the air look like they are out kind of far so I dont know if they will get in the way. thanks for all you help.
Sorry if I am rambling I am in a rush.

i don't have pictures, but i plan on installing a 10" screen in my car in that dash area...although i think we're doing a custom thing, so things are gonna need to be moved around a bit. but you'll probably get your dvd player before mine's even finished..but, i'll post pictures once i get it done. it's within the next month or so i'm sure.

Thats what I was thinking about doing, just getting a little flip out monitor off ebay and have it installed in that little slot. Some shops say it cant fit and some say it can. When i remove the bezel it dosent look like it will be deep enough. I just won a double din 6.5 monitor (like the kenwood one) with a six disc changer. I'm going to install that in place of my radio.

The thing about installing it there is, when it is flipped out it will block your climate controls.

I didn't get the factory nav... went with a Kenwood Nav/DVD/CD/Sirius head unit hen added 2 DVD players/LCD screens in the headrests.
The Kenwood wasn't the size if the factory Nav so i used the smaller bazel and had it cut to fit.
I dig it fine. Have a rear view video camera now and have 3 dvd players.

Grinner, don't you need an external Nav unit to make that Kenwood do Nav?

Otherwise it has no built in Nav...right?

It has it's own nav. MUCH better than the factory one as it is a touch screen so a full keypad is available. Makes it easier and quicker to enter destinations.
The downside is it has it's own antenna for nav as well as it's own antenna for sirius.
I'll take that trade.
Here's what they look like on the dash:

I should also point out I have no Uconnect now, which I didn't care about (but can have if I just daisy-chain my factory deck) and no steering wheel audio controls, although an dapter will soon be available for that from PAC, found in Crutchfield.

Grinner,

So you are saying that Kenwood unit has Nav built in, and plays DVDs...?

Which model # is that?
