Real Wood California Walnut Not OEM???

I just installed the Above Glove Box dash trim piece with HEMI logo, on my 300C & I had ordered it in real california walnut to match the factory OEM wood that came with my luxury package.

Upon looking at it & dry fitting it, it seemed to match the color, but after installing it, I could swear it got a lot lighter. Now it looks more light red, rather than dark brown as the OEM does.

Does anyone know, if I wanna match the OEM wood from the luxury package, shud i get synthetic california walnut, or is same as real that I got on this glove box piece.

I'm asking coz I wanna get the 84 piiece full kit & i wanna make sure that matches the steering wheel & other facotry poieces, coz this glove box sure doesn't....

Ill post pic when i take 1.

It never matches. Haven't seen a single kit that looks right. Sorry!

This is the exact part i got Optional Above Glove Box (With "HEMI" Logo), 8 Pcs. - 2009 Chrysler 300 Dash Kit

The box it came in said WOW Trim Corp in red letters, so I guess that's the company.

I got the piece in ROEMCW code to match OEM wood. There were 4 options for OEM match: Real California Walnut (that's what i got), Synthetic California Walnut, Heritage Edition, & Tortoise Shell.

Well the OEm looks dark brown & this is light red brown. Its so weird though coz when i dry fitted it it looked fine & only after it seemed to get lighter. Maybe the sun changed it color? But it said its sun protected.

ANyways, i wanna get the 86 piece full kit, so once i get that in same real cali wood, it wont stand out. If anythign it will just look like 2-tone wood, for the original oem pieces.

could it be because its a light colour underneath and because when u dry fitted it, it had an opaque backing (i assume it had some kind of paper packing on it).

assuming ur interior is a lighter colour and not the dark one.
