Tortoise Shell Replacement

Hello,
I just bought a new 2009 300C. The dealer network couldn't get me a car with the California wood interior, so I had to settle for the Tortoise Shell. How can I replace all the Tortoise Shell in the car, and replace with wood?

You're gonna need to buy the cali wood steering wheel, door pulls, and don't the 2009 cars have wood around the shifter? If so you'll need that, too. The other thing you can do is get a kit, but that wouldn't look entirely OEM and I don't think that covers the door pulls.

I'm not too fond of the tortoise shell accents in our cars. It looks like stained plastic...

lol, I have a fake tortoise shell hair brush, it looks pretty much the same as the steering wheel does... I actually liked that! Every brand of car sells wood interiors as an option, but the 300 is the only one I know of with fake tortoise as an option lol.

I would just look arong for an SRT that is getting parted out or something. I think I saw someone selling an SRT steering wheel with the paddle shifters in the parts for sale section.

You might try to modify something like this if you want to go the inexpensive route - Wheelskins Eurotone Leather Steering Wheel Cover (Two Color)

Yep, an SRT wheel with paddles - F/S: srt8 steering wheel/paddle shifters. Swap out your C wheel with him and I think you can get a deal. I had to pass on the deal, but wish I had the extra cash to do it right now.

Don't know if that was a serious question, but unfortunately no. The wheel itself is actually just a transparent brownish color with a "sticker-like" overlay for the tortoise spots. Some people have even had problems with the tortoise spotted overlay peeling away, leaving just the brownish steering wheel behind. If you look closely in the right light, it is pretty easy to tell that the tortoise spots are on the outside of the wheel.
