What type of wood

New to the forum...can anyone tell me the colour/finish/name of the type of wood I have on my steering wheel is it maple? is it cherry? ...I dunno? Please help..... as Im aiming to get hooked up with a wood dash kit.

I think it's California Walnut,thats what the UK brochure says for the UK for the Hemi but the hemi in the UK has all the good stuff,I've heard that some lesser models the wood is turtlewood???(plastic I think)

Yes, it is called California walnut so look for this name in the kits. For the kit that I got from edash kits, it was called "real California walnut" and you paid a premium over the artificial grained kits. The standard option steering wheel and door pulls have what they call tortoiseshell and some people match this up to an artificial burl walnut kit.
