Question Question for the HID experts

I finally decided to install an hid conversion in my wifes 2012 Pathfinder. I had an old set of 9006 ballasts lying around from the old 300. I just decided to use those and to order a set of 9007 hi/low bulbs because thats what her pathfinder uses. I was told that all ballasts are universal as long as it is using a 35W bulb 9006-9007 etc . I just went out to try to install them but her stock harness is too large to plug into the ballast. Am I missing something or do I just need some sort of adapter between the harness and ballast? Thanks for any help guys.

If you can get an adapter that would certainly work. The kit harnesses are vehicle specific. AAC might have an idea for ya.

Yeah, I agree. A ballast is a ballast as you said, but the connectors are vehicle specific.

But really, it's just a power and ground wire, right? You could cut the Pathfinder's wires AFTER the connector... between the connector and the bulb... leaving the stock connector plug in place and untouched. Then cut off your ballast connector. Tap your ballast wires to the stock wires, and that way you keep the Pfinder's stock connector. Makes sense to me... but maybe I'm crazy.
