The mirrors look incredible but i dont know about the eyelids. I like the healight covers you have on, but the eyelids just look out of place and stuck on kinda in my opinion

Nice work Marc!
That TZ grill with your custom color matched insert and the "angry eyes" make your sweet C look downright evil!

The close-up shot of the mirror caps show how beautiful that BB paint is.

Those mirrors were fun, huh...

Lookin' good mon!

Mr. I, you think you could take some night shots with and without the covers? I'm actually having second thought signing up for the 2nd batch until I see what they look like at night.

Very different though, awesome job.

It looks like there is to much going on there with the eyelids and the covers.
Try and look at it with the covers off maybe.
Also it looks like it doesnt flow right for some reason.

My thoughts exactly Naut....

the problem I personally have with these "lids" is, well...frankly, they look like stick on Pep Boys stuff (no offense intended to VIP) but they just don't assimilate into the car properly. The way they protrude out from the hood REALLY bothers me, but hey, different opinions make the world fun

I really wish a Carbon Fiber hood with the "evil eyes" that TZ did on his hood, would be released I'd be all over something like that.

Anyway, nice work as always, Mr. I

I like the look on the mirrors Mr. I. Not quite sure I'm sold on the eyelids yet though. If there was some way that line between the hood and the eyelids could be filled in so as the hood and the eyelids look as one piece, it might be a better look. No offense to VIP though. I commend them for stepping up to the plate and making these for those that wanted them.

not bad at all thanks to your thread. I fashioned a loop and hook out of a wire coat hanger, drove it thru the water seal goop. Hooked the wires and pulled it back thru.

3 minutes each side... complete install was under an hour.

Damn! It took me forever..
I am wondering if the mirror type is different. I was fortunate (unfortunate?) enough to have
Auto dim
Heated
Power
Fold-Away <<<this last one meant having to go through the articulated hinge.

Do you have fold-aways?

Either way, it is obvious you know what you are doing. Good work!

yeah same mirrors as yours.

basically what I did it take some pliers, and make a loop in the coat hanger about 1/2 or so. I left the end of the loop open, looped the wire, shoved the hanger thru the goop, hooked the wire and pulled the hanger back out.

I didn't remove any of the goop and I tied a knot in the wire where I wanted it to stop inside the mirror (so I didn't pull too much and break/tear it).

same method I use to phish wire thru the firewall, also how I hooked and phished the wire thru the door, into the car and got it thru the "foam" crap behind the e-brake, so I didn't have to drill any holes in my car..
