HID high beams problem

So I installed an HID high beam kit on my 300C and it worked great, perfect light, until..... I started the engine.

With the engine off the lights work fine but once it's started the high beams start to flicker and then go off. I tested the power with a voltimeter and when the engine is off the power is stable at about 12.5V but after a short while of starting the engine the power at the head lights goes like on and off, pulsing.

Any ideas, any help?

A 470uf, 50V capacitor need to be placed between pins 85 & 86 of the harness relay to avoid flickering.

For more info search the threads looking for "flickering".

Have your dealer disable DTRL's with his starscan.

4700uf 35v cap not 470

also hid high beams is pretty usless unless you do a lot of driving in the dark...you will ruin the ballast or bulb flicking the highs on and off
