Doesn't it seem like GoofyTim knows alot about stealthAuto? Hmmmm...I think he works there with Aaron and uses this site to post good reviews about them. He always has the best to say and seems to know alot about their products.
I'm not bashing him, just curious if he works together with them. I am also waiting ....for my slim HID kit! I was told it would be shipped on 09/18/2007 so I have to wait to see if that will happen. I just hope I didn't
'give away' my hard earned cash........
A phone call too me would be nice though.

I would agree that poster GoofyTim does seem to be dialed in to stealth auto, but who knows...

My concern, and I've seen this happen before with internet vendors, is the fact that my account was charged at the time of order, their website has changed and no longer recognizes my account credentials, their phone number has disappeared from the webpage, my 2 phone calls have yielded the same results..."my boss told me the capacitors should be in any day". Past history has been that the goods never ship. Let's hope for the best, as they are a forum sponsor.

Could be that Mr Aaron has too much on his plate....do a forum search for "Brainchild" for a link to his new "marketing company website"...

Marketing is fine, but at the end of the day, you still need to deliver the goods.

Good Grief!!! Agree all you want, but I do NOT work for Stealth Auto. They are in Calif. AFAIK and I am in WV. I do have experience with Aaron as I think I have purchased each and every single product of theirs and I have put those products on two vehicles. I am a satisfied customer.

I did compose a write up for installation of these lights in my MSRT8. That does NOT mean I work for Stealth. I have other write-ups for mods I've made and you can check that out through search.

At times I have had to wait longer than "usual" for some Stealth things. At times Aaron has been long between PMs or emails, but I have never been ripped by Stealth.

Aaron has already posted somewhere on 3CF (I think - I'll try to find the link) as to what was behind the HID delay. I read on another forum (LXF IIRC) that the capacitors were "on their way" from the supplier after a manufacturing problem... I figure the more places I look for good information the better.

I try to be helpful here, but you can always put me on your ignore list if you think me a shrill.

Well, I couldn't find the links quickly on 3CF, so here are some of Aaron's posts over at a group buy thread (set up by Magma) on LXF...

From Aug. 23
We weren't prepared for the number of orders

From Pug on Aug. 31
Email notice from Taylor at Stealth

From Sept. 9
Apologies for delay and lack of communication

From Sept. 10 (different thread)
New Employee dropped the ball

From Pug Sept. 17 (different thread)
Sticking it out

Now obviously Pug has yet to receive the products he ordered, and doesn't think the service he's received is what it should be, but he is sticking it out because he has spoken with the owner of Stealth (not Aaron). Mr. I (former member here) is a bit more obstinate about the lack of communication and has taken other action.

Your choice is up to you... my choice is to continue to speak well of their products and realistically about the service I and many others have received, and acknowledge that sometimes delays in supply, other distractions and "family business" can interupt the normal flow of things within a relatively small company operation.

GoofyTim, relax, my post was focused on StealthAutos customer service, not on the possibility of you're being a shill.

To your points...

It's great that you have the time to read and post on other forums, and saw Aarons mention of a delay with capacitors. Many of us don't have the time, or need, to go anywhere other than this forum, for which StealthAuto is a advertiser sponsor. The delay post should have been posted here.

I do appreciate the work you put into the installation DIY, and will use it as a guide for my install, hopefully with the StealthAuto product.

No problem 89... it just seemed to me that you were agreeing with jason on the "he works there with Aaron" angle as well. I didn't take jason's comment as "bashing" per se, but he clearly brings my posts into question in terms of whether they are factual, or merely "stealth" (pun intended) marketing.

Waiting over two weeks and getting the same run around everyone is. They also charged my credit card twice and i am still waiting for a refund on that!!! They said this would be taken care of last monday , nothing and then again on friday...... still waiting! If this is not resolved today i will challenge the charge through my bank. I am trying to be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt that they are having problems with staff etc...

Goofy, chill Bro. I only stating that it is very coincidental that your comments and post seem to have a marketing purpose for Stealth. I apologize if you were offended. I am not in any way trying to slander you or blame you for the delays. I also admire the time and effort you put in your DIY posts. Don't feel like I am blaming YOU for the delay.
I can understand that problems can occasionally occur in business and delays happen. I just would handle those problems differently if it were me. I would send an Email, call, and even post something in THIS forum about the delay. I dont know about you Goofy, but $200 is not something I have to just throw away. I will continue to order from Stealth once I recieve my order, but right now I'm just fustrated.......

Thanks jason... If I were marketing a hardware type product, then I would charge when the product ships... so I don't understand pre-charging unless such intent is indicated on their website or order form. For example, when I make some hotel or airlines reservations the sites tell me if my CC will be charged at the completion of the reservation.

IF that has ever happened to me from Stealth, the timeframe has been so short I've never noticed, or questioned it, and I've spent well over $200 at times over the past couple years. Except for times when Aaron has not been at work for a series of days (various reasons given), he has always been prompt to respond to my PMs (here and/or on other forums) or emails... the address of which he has offered at various times (not in this particular thread). In addition Aaron has called me, and I have even had occassion to speak with Todd, the owner of Stealth Auto.

From those interactions I have confidence that they are quality people and that their business is booming since becoming a sponsor here and elsewhere... maybe they weren't positioned for such, and these things have a way of self-regulating... unfortunately. So I am sure that the recent public frustration of customers like yourself isn't going unnoticed.

Sun... I'm sorry to read about your difficulties with a double charge. I sincerely hope you can get it resolved quickly and to your satisfaction.
