Thanks for the tip. I think the bulb comparison makes sense and is factual. An Ebay bulb advertising HID with replacement is bogus. I just cant decide between StealthAuto or xENON Depot for my HID's. I guess its who will give me a better deal for a 6,000k HID kit. (hint, hint)

I'm taking it as the 8,000k have a better look with the blue light and the 4300k and 6,000k will actually give better light quality. Am I right?

8000K has a much bluer look and may or may not get you in trouble with the law but yes the closer you are to 4300K (ideal) the better visibility and brightness you have. I had the stock 4300K and upgraded to 6000K and I have a nice crystal blue color without losing the night visibility.

just saying that 8,000k may not be legal not due to brightness but because of color. I just thought you could only emit a white light from the front of a vehicle.

Ok... here a direct comparison of low beam HIDs between the stock HIDs of the Heritage Edition (I "think" they are 4500K, but might be 5000K), and the 6000k Stealth HIDs on the Magnum...

With full photo flash...

And with Slow Syncro flash...

I guess from this angle you can tell that the OEM HIDs of the H.E. are "warmer" (a little more yellow) and that the 6000K HIDs of the Mag are "colder" (more blue, but only slightly blue).

I still maintain that from behind the wheel the blueness is almost imperceptible and very similar to the H.E.'s HID appears when cast on things in the dark.

In love with my first wife and first car ('68 Charger) ... still have the wife, but now there's the Heritage Edition and a Magnum SRT8!

That is correct. 8000K is very blue and usually no state will allow blue lights to emit from the front of a vehicle due to it looking like an emergency or police vehicle. It can kinda depend on the officer if you ever got pulled over for it and his attitude at the time but usually blue light will get you more noticed. I have 6000K for mine and BMW's have 6000K as stock so I assume it's ok. I've had no problems.

Cameras taking the pics can be different too. Nothing is more true than the human eye in picking up colors in person rather than in pics. My HID's do not look as blue in person.
