Question HID question for my 300c

I dont know if my 07' 300c has HID's or not. I know what HID lighting looks like, had them on a BMW before. The question is that my car has what appears as projectors that usually comes equipped for an HID system. My light output is not HID quality though, it appears to put out the 'yellowish' color that ordinary headlamps put out. If this is indead the stock HID color, then this sucks really bad. Did anyone else notice thier OEM xenon output sucks? Why would there be a projector bulb for a non-HID car? This really sucks because I want HID but dont know if I just need a better bulb or the whole conversion kit. Shouldn't it look like the high beam lights and you should be able to see the bulb through the plastic lens cover if it weren't HID?

Here's pictures so you can help me out. I'll show my 300c with the mesh grill. Look closely at my headlights. Then you'll see a black 300 with a vertical grill and the 'plain' headlight assembly. I also got photos with the lights against my garage and the inside of the engine compartment light bulb housing area.

You got halogen bulbs my man, not HID's. HID's on these rides don't put out a yellow light like that and the bulb housing would have a more complex bulb with a large rubber cap enclosing the whole area around the bulb. I'd go with an aftermarket HID kit if you want them. Ask for Steve @ xenondepot. He's a supporting vendor here too, it's where I got mine for my fogs since I already had stock HID's.

Why put a halogen bulb behind that projector lens then?

Because those projectors are halogen designed. If you take it out and compare with the HID one you will see they are different.

Thanks for letting me know! I'm at the Fire house surfing the web for a vendor right now. I like your 8,000k FireMedic, BUT I have also heard they dont emit the best 'quality' HID lighting such as the OEM 4300k. They do however have the best bluish color that I am searching for. So, I am leaning toward 6,000k. Any suggestions? How does your visibility look at night while driving (i.e. signs, distance, rain,)?

So, is it seems too be cheaper to buy the HID plug and play kit versus trying to buy headlight assemblies to retro fit. Am I wrong about that? You can get a kit for around $250. How much did it cost you for the 2 headlight pieces?

FM23,
Somebody on Ebay is using an image of your ride to sell HID bulbs . I don't know if it's you or not but I saw your ride in their auction listing last night. Just thought you should know.
