Ugly DRL

I need to get rid of the ugly Daytime Running Lights in my Magnum SXT. How do I do it. The dealer told me he was unable to do it with his programming computer. Is he lying to me? It wouldnt be the first time if he was.

Since they need to be enabled with the StarScan tool for U.S. vehicles, then I would think they could be disabled by using the same means. However, I've learned enough on this forum to know that DRLs are mandatory in Canada and maybe that's why the dealer is refusing the service. Not sure where you are going with this one...

I wanted to activate the DRL a few weeks ago. The Dealer said he could make it via Starscan. He switched the country-code to US (i think) and then Starscan tool wrote that the procedure would be irreversable... So i said no. I think starscan isn´t lying.

Have a nice weekend

Seeing as you're from Canada (like me) I would think it would be illegal. Not sure though. In any case, StarScan is how it's done. Go to another dealer is all I can recommend. I don't follow your logic however for getting rid of them.

As an alternative till you get it done, you can press your emergency brake ONE click and that will turn them off without actually engaging the brakes.
