300C Tail lights on 300 Touring

Got an idea! Looking for your input.

I'm going to attempt to adapt the 300C tail lights to my 300 Touring in about two weeks. Everyone knows that the wiring is different and there have been many posts on how to adapt the wiring.

Question - Can the brake/turn/park light socket from the Touring be put into the stop/park receptacle on the 300C housing?

Question - Can I take the reverse light socket from the Touring and splice it together with the 300C wiring to essentially have two bulbs per side for the reverse light. The second one would replace the 300C turn signal.

Question - Could I splice into the license plate light on the back bumper to run power to the lower bulbs on the 300C housing so that they only come on with the park/head lights.

If yes, the top round light of the 300C housing would now be my park/brake/turn signal. The two clear sockets in the 300C housing would both be my back-up lights. The lower light in the 300C housing would be my running lights only when the park/head lights are on.

What do you think?

i may be wrong but the resistance load on the bulbs would be off and they wouldnt function properly if you had two bulbs on s socket made for one it.. I could be wrong though i am working on the same issue i had a few plans my first is for a custom harness at the ecm that basically plugs right in between the harness and ecm with the wiring changes shown in the how to. this way nothing on the car is cut. the kicker is the harness is approx 300 bucks and somehow i need the female ends from ecm. i wish i knew someone to create the plugs for me or if they are interchaengable maybe with another car.. so i am right with ya on this one considering all options. i guess the only way for you is trial and error and see with a multimeter or something..

Just put SRT lights on my 300, had to order the lighting set up for the new lights but the connections and everything works just fine.

Just make sure when you order the new lights that you get all the the wiring/bracks/sockets for it as well. I think I bought the taillight housing for $130 and the lighting set up for L and R through the dealership for around $80ish

Not exactly sure what you mean but my 06 stock tailight to the C model have different wiring/sockets/bulbs. When I bought the new taillight housing it didnt come with the wiring in the back and I thought I could use the exisiting stock wiring but was too much of a hassel to convert, so I went to the dealership and ordered the entire wiring/socket/bulbs set up for these new lights. I believe the taillight house ran me 130 or 140 and then another 80 for the wiring set up in the back.
