where to place the hid ballast

does anybody have a diagram or drawing on where to locate the ballast for the hid ?

Depends on whether or not you want them observable to the casual looker with the hood open. If you don't care, then place them somewhere convenient, e.g., against the metal wheel well with some auto dual-sided adhesive tape. If you do care, then the side bracket of the radiator may be an option, or somewhere behind the bumper... just depends on how much wire you have available from the bulbs themselves.

hid help

does anybody who have done the conversion from halogen to hid have any photos or advice that could give me a better mental picture of how this setup should/could look? also is there anyway to get to the fogs for a change out with out having to remove the font facia?

Perhaps this can help (it has pictures) although it's for my MSRT8 rather than a 300... But in principle it should be very similar other than the headlamp assembly is significantly different shape, etc.

How To Install Stealth Auto HIDs in an MSRT8

With respect to access to the fogs, you can get under there by removing the engine pan and then the fascia skirt from underneath... really easy enough to do without removal of the entire fascia. I've done this removal many a time simply by putting the car up on ramps, but even just leaving it on the ground (just isn't much space to get my big frame under there without ramps.
