I have seen some where they look color matched during the day, but
once the lights are turned on, they illuminate, and look fine.

Those people don't get hassled. Its the ones whose light no longer
work the way they are supposed to work that seem to get hassled
the most.

The bulb was disconnected so no light.

I have two personal friends who are cops here in Dallas, Texas. Both of them have told me that they love these types of "illegal" item laws because it gives them an excuse to pull someone over "IF" they think they might be ridin' dirty. Otherwise they could care less. I havent ran a front plate for 20 years, and have been runnning the clear side markers for about 2 years. Im getting ready to color match both my tails and clear sidemarkers without any concerns.

Each state is different. It really depends on how anal the cops are in your local area.

i live in a neighborhood where cops have nothing better to do, my buddy got pulled over for the gauges in his cobra bc of the blue color being "distracting" but i have clear sidemarkers and no problems

question:

if i color match the corner lights to the color of my car, and get pulled over, can i argue that those lights DO NOT even blink (coming straight from factory)?? I am also in the process of putting those LED mirror covers on, so i can further argue that the mirror ones are replacing the ones in the bumper since they dont even blink to begin with

the front reflector has to be amber but the front bulbs may be amber OR clear/white.
