Courtesy light LED?

I have swaped out all my intereior lights for some hyper white bulbs, so far so good but when I took out the courtesy light the 44mm (i think) tube will not fit in there, I mean it fits but since it doesnt have the wires on the ends of the bulb it will not stay in. Im sure several others have done this mod, what do you suggest to get the bulbs to stay in there? Anyone done anything with some success? Thanks in advance.
