Hi everyone. I'm a new owner to the 300c and had a quick question. I looked through the current threads and couldn't find an answer and was hoping someone could help me.
So on my headlight. The stock light is clear but the inside portion has the amber light. I see online vendors selling stealthbulbs, which are from what I gather, clear when off and amber when on. Does anyone know if a pure clear bulb? Where it is clear whether on or off? Or is this illegal so they do not sell it?
Any help in answering this question is greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the forums, pierremonkey! You are correct on how the Stealth Bulbs work. Many forum members have them plus the clear side markers with similar bulbs so that everything appears clear when off but yellow when in use to prevent being illegal in probably most states. I somehow doubt if anyone sells an all clear all of the time bulb due to legality issues.
If you need more information, send a PM to Aaron at Stealth Auto or better yet, give them a call.
pierremonkey, I tried to send you a pm but it said I couldn't do it you probably don't have enough posts yet to allow it. I have the same exact product for sale for $110 clear sidemarkers set of stealth bulbs #0194 and set of stealth bulbs for headlights #3157 never been used still in package they arrived in from Stealth Auto. Thanks.
pierremonkey,
That is the exact package you need to purchase. However, it appears that member 300CN24S is offering up the best deal! The US Speed site wants $129.95 and the Stealth Auto website (a supporting vendor here) wants $119.85. Looks like you have some good options here.
Good luck with your final selection. And yes, the side marker bulbs will also show up yellow when your lights are turned on. You will have to respond to 300CN24S in this thread since you need a minimum of 10 posts and have been a member for 10 days(which you already have been) before you can switch on your PM feature.
Definetly do it! It makes a whole world of difference. One thing I may caution you on - for some reason the Stealth bulbs seem wider at the socket end than the stock 194 bulbs. Just be careful and apply even pressure - I cracked the base of one when I got impatient.

I definitely recommend the stealthbulbs... from Stealth Auto they have a lifetime guarantee... IF/when they burn out (and what bulbs don't?)... just contact Aaron and in a couple of days you have a new set of bulbs.
I haven't had a turn signal bulb burn out, but I did have one clear side marker bulb go bad... replacement, no issues with Stealth Auto.
But... if 300CN24S is selling the ones he has... then the price may cut the deal for you.
