HID's

Do HID's need a projector housing? Im going to get HID's but was just wondering if a projector housing will make them better or can I just use my stock Halogen housing? I have a base 300.

The projector will make the H.I.D.'s look more like an Audi or BMW, I have H.I.D.'s in my fog's and the bulbs look great. Very bright and you can tell that they're not just a regular bulb. I believe that you will be satisfied either way. Here are some pics, and no they aren't as bright as the pictures might suggest.10000K fog light HID's installed with pics

Don't have to have projector lens for HIDs. The only real difference will be that the cut-off for the HIDs will be less distinct without the projector lens.

Without them, make absolutely sure that the kit you use has D2R based bulbs. Those are the ones designed for a reflector housing. 99% of the kits use rebased D2S bulbs, which are for projector housings and will have tons of glare in reflector headlights. You aren't gonna get a rebased D2R kit cheap, but its worth the money to get the right setup.

What are good projector housings for a 6000k HID kit? Probably the Stealth auto kit.

I myself have been running HID's with non-projector housings for many years and have had no problems at all. As long as your headlights aren't aimed high, you will be fine.
