To avoid the problem all together - stick with Philips or Osram when it comes to the D1S or D1R type HID Xenon bulbs... As for Kelvin Temp - 4300K is stock color white for OEM type bulbs. 4300K in aftermarket bulbs are often golden yellow (specialty colors).
From what I've seen golden yellow is 3000k. I installed 5000k HID kit in my girlfriend's car yesterday and the yellow in my stock head lights stuck out like a saw thumb in comparison. Hers was pure white.

You are 100% correct. Yellow is around 3000K with a "True 3000K" HID bulb. What I was trying to say (sorry for the miscommunication) is that more often than not, dealers will sell a 4300K "Specialty Color" that uses injected gases to give off a solid - vibrant color such as golden yellow. Have you ever noticed how so many different dealers have different "K" ratings for different color temps. One 10K will be blue, another 10K will be white with a tint of blue, and another will be slightly purple... This is because most of them sell specialty color HID bulbs and aren't even sure what color their bulbs produce - they just put pics they think are close - then drop ship. Bad mojo.

I would love to direct you to our site for the type of bulbs you are looking for, but then I wouldn't be honest, because I know the troubles of D1S and D1R type bulbs. Sure, you could install ours and ours comes with the reversal wire... many people don't mind this to save a couple hundred dollars, but when it comes to D1S and D1R, I always try to referr my customers to Philips or Osram. We will be picking up the osram OEM D1S and D1R bulbs in the near future, but until then - I want my customers to know that I have their best interest in mind. Any other bulb type is fine. It's only the D1 type aftermarket bulbs that seem to have issues. There's alot of tech specs behind the reason that is... too much to list here, but if you would like more information, please feel free to call. Our number is on our website - Just ask for Joe. ;-)

Some lower priced hid kits have the positive and negative side reversed on the connectors and he means the same about the some lower priced D1S replacement bulbs.

overseas the wiring standard is opposite it is here, for whatever reason. you see this with 9006 alot. the polarity is switched. so with kits designed for overseas domestic market you must use special harness or repin the included one to united states domesitc market standard. not sure why they do this. same reason over there its 9003 over here its h4... or vice versa

the difference is not in the bulb, its in the connection from ballast to igniter. or low side to ballast.

When it comes to upgrade your vehicle's OEM HID D1S bulbs you do not need to worry about reversing any wires. What omnixautosports is talking about has nothing to do with D1S replacement bulbs.
