I didnt purchase anything extra at all.
I purchased my HIDs for $140 total.
That was the total amount for the low beams and the fog lights.
HIDGATE on ebay is who i got it from and his come with a capacitor and everything, so all i did was install it and that's it.
Havent given me any problems at all either. =)

How do you find the light given out by the HIDs...some people said that with the normal housing, there was too much reflection and that the HIDs should be used with projector housings. Do they blind a lot of people?

to be honest I don't know. I'm kinda learning as I go.
I don't have projector housings on mine, and I assume they're not blinding people, because i have had them for maybe a month or so, and only about two people have flashed their high beams at me and i drive past cops all the time where I live and they have never pulled me over.
I just went outside and turned on the lights and looked at them straight on and they are bright, but didnt blind me or really bother my eyes. lol.

I tried to make a tutorial, and once i was finally done, it said all my pictures exceeded band width, so i went the lazy route and just posted them all to a folder on my myspace.
It's public so you can see it, and once you click on my picture, just go to the album called "HID Install photos".
Should be self explanatory, and i didnt put captions because i have to go to work right now, but if you need anything let me know.

Just thought I'd help out here...here's a link to all of hidgate's auctions:
eBay Seller: hidgate: Parts Accessories, Scuba, Snorkeling items on eBay.com

You can buy from any of those auctions. Just email him the size bulb you need and the fact that you have a 300 so he includes the capacitors and you'll be all set. My friend ordered them and had them in 2.5 days (California to New York)...pretty impressive.
