I have to take mine apart today to add capacitors - I'll take a picture of the ballast location for you

Way2tall,
Did you get your lowbeams figured out? I have the same deal going and I think a relay from the battery is in order. I have to turn my lights on and off a couple times to get them both on and stay on. I wonder if the cold has anything to do with it (Canada and Minnesota).
It's weird I have no flicker and everything is installed correctly (including caps/digital harness). The lights when warmed up work fantastic! HIDGATE has been great with responses and told me to send back the passenger side (main colprate) ballast to be replaced. I'm not sure that is the problem though. It seems like there isn't enough juice to turn the lights on. Once on like I said they work great. Anyone have any advice? Relay from the battery possibily?

well - this is how my car is presently wired:

Lows
- Ballasts powered directly from the battery
- Relays installed
- Capacitors installed
- Plug NOT reversed
Now the passenger side lights up 100% of the time, and the driver's side lights up about 90% of the time (compared to about 70/10 before the relay/capacitor). Waiting on a replacement ballast for the driver's side.

Fogs:
- No relay or capacitors
- Plugs ARE reversed
No problems whatsoever.

If you have the HIDs in your fogs and in your lows, I would suggest lighting one set first, then waiting a few seconds before lighting the other.

In cold weather, if you turn the lights on and only one comes on - let that one warm up for a few (10 to 20) seconds before trying again - that light will require less power on restart, which hopefully will let the other one have the juice it needs

The capacitors seem to have been the turning point for mine - they store a little power, but apparently just enough to make the difference at ignition.

Good luck!

I currently have just the low's wired up; with digital harness/caps, polarity not reversed, and through the stock wiring. Almost everytime the passenger side goes out before it gets to full light output. I've held off on the fog's til I get the low's figured out. Hidgate has been great with responses and offered to send relays or exchange my passenger ballast. Maybe the caps aren't big enough for colder climates? I'm running out of ideas here...

That is my Super Bee you have pictured here. The member is asking where to install the HID ballast for the low beam HID kit. The ballast I have installed to the front bumper (in the picture above) is for my fog light HID kit.

I have always used 3M automotive double sided tape to install the ballasts. You can get this tape at any automotive paint supply store like PPG. It is very thin, very strong and will not fall off. It is very hard to remove and stays in place. Before I stick the ballast to either the metal bumper or the plastic liner, I wipe the area clean with some rubbing alcohol. This will clean the surface and let the 3M tape stick alot better.

This is where I have installed my low beam HID ballasts, on my Magnum and my Charger and a few other Houston LX owners who went with HID kits as well, that I installed for them. On each side of the radiator there are 2 big black plastic diffusers. On the back side of these plastic diffusers is a perfect place to install the low beam HID ballast's. It is flat, big enough for the ballast and they stay dry being tucked up behind the plastic diffusers. Once the front fascia is re-installed, the fascia covers the top side of the low beam ballasts.

Here is the top side view (with front fascia removed) of the driver side low beam HID ballast install location.

Here is the rear view of the same driver side low beam HID ballast installed.

Here is the top side view of the passenger side low beam HID ballast install location.

Here is the rear view of the same passenger side low beam HID ballast install location.

Since I run a custom twin CAI set up on both my Magnum and my Charger, I had to make sure the low beam HID ballasts were out of the way so I could install my twin CAI.
