haha I did that this morning, I tested it on one side and then turned it on and off 2 times and the capacitor popped and all this gas started flying out! I was like WOAHHHH! it stopped then I switched back to stocks could it have been because it was a bad job with the stripping? or was it because of turning it on and off? I didnt even solder it I basically wrapped the capacitors around the exposed wire and then electric taped it. I switched back to stocks, until then Ill have to gain saint-like patience and HOPE they give me the right ones I like this picture it makes me smile btw
Just email the HIDGATE, When i had a problem with something else he sent me a relay pack no charge, got it within 3 days. Just tell him you didnt get the harness because you forget to mention u needed the special harness, i bet he will ship that **** out next day.
This is what everyone needs to know when ordering the HID form HIDGATE. First off make sure you send them the make and model of the car along with the year. I know first hand that all the 300 have to have the capsitors with them. If you get the capacitor with the headlights hook them up as normal. The clip things should all fit up together. You did not need to reverse the polirity. If you do this you will blow the capacitor. If you didn't recive the capsistor with your harness. You need to get the 4700pf35w from radio shack they are about 14 bucks for 2. After you get them you want to make sure they are installed before the fuse on the side that is plug into the OEM headlight wire. You need to wire the capsitiors as is on the harness neg to neg and postive to postive. After this you can hook up your lights. Remeber if you did not get the Highend harness from HIGGATE then you muist reverse the polirity. Right now I'm talking to him trying to get a new ballast. One seemed to go out on me. I think that he is going to send me a new one. I hope this clear somethings up.

the best thing to do is use a test light on the car's original headlight harness to find which wire is the positive and which is the negative, that way there is no chance of blowing anything.

Thanks for clearing this up for a lot of members on the fence about adding the HIDs

I was too impatient so I did what jrod did with the capacitors.. man I love my car even more. I just go on random 30 minute drives at night just to see my light. I especially love turning on the lights because it does that flash kind of start up and it looks SOOO amazing its like I have a brand new car. I like HIDs. Thank you everyone for helping me. I could not have done it without everyones help. that is why I am in 300cforums.
I'd contact the seller and I'm sure he will hook you up. One thing to note is that you need to make sure the connections are properly seated. Because they're exposed they're prone to water damage over time. Just make sure the connections are seated and it's tucked away.
