Smile Just got my HID Kit in the Mail today: Follow-up Installation w/Gwops of pics.

I got home from work and my kit is ready to go. I plan on taking some pictures of the install. I'm doing the fog lights and the L/B headlights tonight.

Post Install

1. Both the 9006 and 9145 kits for the lowbeams and foglights.

2. Front end, hood popped, lights off.

3. Front end, stock lights on

4. Driver side wheel turned to access the fenderwall. Removed (2) big clips and (3) smaller clips.

5. Fenderwall pushed back. Sorry crappy angle.

6. 9145 foglight removed.

7 and 8. Same steps done on the passenger side. Ran the wires down from topside of fender and mounted the ballast with the included grip tape, on the fender below the auxillary battery point.

9 and 10. This is how not to plug in the wires to the ballast on the 9145 hookup.

11. Flip the plug around on the ballast, I used a flathead to pull up the plastic lock to get the plug into the ballast for the 9145's.

12. Removed the intake, just unscrew the clamp, unbolt the single bolt on the front end, and pull out the hose on the backside.

13. HID's on the passenger side lowbeam and foglight, stock lowbeam on the right.

13. Unattached the power steering resevior from the coolant resevior to get some room to work. Mounted the driver side foglight ballast on the fenderwall under the power steering resevior and stock intake box.

14. Mounted the lowbeam ballast to the backside of the stock intake box.

15. HID's top and bottom.

It's actually 10000k for the low beams and fog lights. I do notice some loss of visibility, mainly with the low beams because the projector lens seems dim the output compared to the straight lens on the fogs. I'll most likely get a set of 6000k's for the low beam as added security on long road trips just in case.

Actually got them from HIDGATE on Ebay after reading about his kits through this forum. The 9006's do come with the capacitor in the hookup, just make sure you let him know when you order. They were $139.99 total for two kits.

so you have to flip that one connector upside down eh? no wonder my capacitors blew up in about 30 seconds. i ripped them out, installed them the correct way, and no flicker even without a capacitor
