Chiming in.. I did a write-up not too long ago on the install of the kit from HIDGATE. I unfortunately did have a couple of hiccups, but HIDGATE's warranty is underway. One of the ballasts went out and wouldn't fire up the bulb. Also one of the bulbs won't stay on, it just ignites then shuts off. Other then that, It appears that only 300C's and SRT's need the capacitors for the low beams. None of the 300's need capacitors for the fog lights, but the plugs need to be switched for the fog lights to reverse the polarity. My fogs have been working a few weeks with no problem. Word of advice for all inquirers: If you have a stock air box (I know mounting area options are thin) , try to keep the ballast away from the coolant reservoir, the high temperature is most likely what broke my ballast.

I ended up sticking my ballast on one side to the ECU that is on the side of the fuse box, the other ballast got mounted to some sheetmetal behind the power steering reservoir. I am holding off installing my fogs because I am worried about the cracks in the lenses allowing moisture in which I think may kill the bulb.

I also had 1 problem with a lightly crimped connector on the harness with the inline fuse. the wire come loose out of the plug and all I did was email HIDGATE and they are sending me another asap.
