6500K versus 6000K HID?

I just purchased 6000K bulbs, but was sent 6500K bulbs instead. How much difference in color do you think there is? Is it worth sending them back? I wanted a bluish/white, but the 6500K bulbs seem to be a slightly purplish tint.

Install one on the passanger side (easiest to get to) and see if that shade works for you, should only take a couple minutes.

After about 100 hours of use the HID bulbs go through what's called a "color-shift phenomenon" where they eventually turn (in your case) from the purplish color to a slightly more bluish hue. Mine were 6000K and were REALLY blue and now after about a year they are slight blue. HID bulbs shift colors slowly and eventually after so many hours of usage but not super super noticeable....dammit, rambling again!

I was told the labeling on the package was wrong and they are in fact 6000k. Whatever they are, I installed them and they look great! I can't really put my finger on what color they are, but they are FAAAAANTASTIC. I might have to go and get the matching fog light kit. That will have to be installed by a pro though. Thanks again XenonDepot.

Installed by a pro? NONSENSE! You can do it! I'm not a super technical guy and I installed my kit from xenondepot. The kit is super straight-forward and easy, just takes a little time to make sure you're doing every step right. It really is super easy.

easiest way to do the fogs is to go through the wheel well...3 rivets to remove on each side and peel the plastic back

just make sure you have replacement ones because the ones you take out will be broken
