headlights and Daytime Driving Lights

i have the HIDs and noticed that with the headlights on with wipers feature on, that when the wipers went on, the headlights came on, but the daytime driving lights did not turn off. not sure if it was always like that or not.
in otherwords, the HIDs and the daytime driving lights are on at the same time. normally of course, when the headlights come on, the daytime driving lights turn off. is this normal for them to stay on with the wiper feature activated?
