2005-2007 Difference in HIDs?

I've been looking around for used stock HIDs. What I've found while searching parts web sites is there there seem to be differences in the HID lights from 2005-2007. I've seen options for "leveling" added in 2006, as well as "washers". Washers disappeared from the headlights in 2007. What I'm wondering is, what is the "leveling" option? Can you mix and match lights from 2005-2007, or do they all have to be the same type and/or same year as my car? (My car is a 2007 with HIDs with no washers).

I'm pretty sure washers didn't disappear from the headlights in 2007. My 2007 CSRT8 has washers.

I'm pretty sure the hids are the same from 2005 to 2007. As far as the washers go, they're not attached to the headlamps .. they're on the bumper so I don't think they'll make a difference.

The "leveling" option is a motor-operated system that automatically keeps the headlights properly "leveled" as the car's suspension rises and falls under the weight of passengers and cargo. Without reviewing the wiring diagrams, there may be a need to have a factory wiring harness to power the system, or it may be powered by the headlight power when the lights are on.
