"HID problems" please help!

Ive been on this site for a while now but still a noob to the site. Ive been searching all the previous thread's and havent found a true answer to my problem. i have a 05 300touring with a aftermarket 9006 hid kit. when i first installed the set i had the problem where they would work with motor off but when you started they would not work so i looked up info and wired in the capacitor's before the ballast's. was good for quite a few months. last week or two it came back and has been getting worse and worse just flickering and shutting off for a second or two while driving. I then bought a entirely new hid kit that came with the capacitor harness and installed it. thought it was good to go then last night it flickered a couple times. what the hell is the problem??? Ive read about the relay and wiring it in. is that what i need??? im clueless . any help from anybody would be appreciated or someone that has had this same problem. thanks

here i a txt diagram of how your harness n cap should be wired :factory wires connect to the cap into the ballast.
===========+ CAP+ []---------B

not the best drawling but im sure you get the idea. if your still having problems check out the harness from intensehid.com. sounds like all of your flicker harnesses are going bad. why? idk. i hope this helps.

this will sound silly, but also make sure the capacitor +/- are connected correctly. I flipped the polarity and burned out a capacitor. Turns out I didn't need them anyhow for the fogs, but maybe that happened with yours as well?

yeah i checked everything multiple times. the first time i made my own capacitor harness and had it wired up per a diagram that was posted in a thread on this site. i'm thinking that the capacitor just went out after time. my new setup has a pre-made capacitor harness from hid dealer and a relay harness this time. everything has been working great. knock on wood. yeah i heard and have read that you do not need a capacitor harness or anything for hid's on the foglights. that's my next thing to do, that will look so good.
