Question 300/300c parking lights

i know the v6 300 headlights have 3 parking lights and the v8 300c headlights have only one parking light...when doing an srt fascia conversion from a touring fascia to srt fascia...is it ok to leave the extra 2 parking lights on each headlight (without bulbs of course) loose in the engine bay? or what can i do so the open sockets wont cause me any problems or wont become a problem?

the proper way to do it would be to get the 300C light harness (from the non HID cars) and swap the harness.

if you trace those wires back about 12 inches you will see that there is a connector that the pigtails for the lights branch off of (sub harness)

there are 2 different sub harnesses depending on the build, (C or non-C)

the C model had Halogen as standard lamps and HID as optional, the HID harness is one piece from the FCM to the lights, but the Halogen harness is like yours, 3 pieces: Main harness and 2 sub harnesses:

I believe the part number you need is 5139054AA (x2) but I am not 100% on that without looking at a non-HID 300c.

but you can leave the wires without bulbs and I would get some electrical tape or heat shrink and seal the sockets to keep out water. not having bulbs in the marker lights won't hurt anything, the computer only gets pissy about the Turn Signal and headlight sockets.

yeah i was thinking of swapping out the harness but then realized that would require more money than i have already invested in this srt fascia conversion and would rather go the cheap and free way and keep the same harness but wasnt sure if it would do any harm to leave 2 loose parking lights on each headlight without bulbs...

so by strapping them down some where and covering the sockets to keep out water ill be fine correct?

Yes, just make sure it is VERY sealed. Remember that the wires are live, and water + electric is bad.
