Very nice install KSC. That sucks about your missing LEDs. You do all that work to find out that you're missing led's but it still looks cool though. Where did you get your halos from?
Looks good. I checked all my leds before I installed them. Although rare, there are times when I've seen some leds out.
Also, are you using the power supply (transformer)? Are they Flashtech? The instructions say not to wire the halos to 12v directly or the life will be shortened.
i actually bought these on ebay. I just searched for LED Halo 100mm and found someone selling them for $8.83 each with free shipping. I checked them before I installed them in the housing and they worked fine. Then they sat on the floor until I had time to install them and some how between the time i checked and the time i installed them, the issue came up. good news is that the seller is sending me two more. and they are wired straight to the 12v. While that might not be the smartest route, if I blow out 8 dollar LEDs, i'm not going to cry. plus my red leds in my headlights have been just fine that way for over a year. i think the cheaper ones last longer. it is like sunglasses. i'll lose my Prada ones in a week but the cheap gas station ones that I buy, I cant lose, even if i try.
Hi
Installing halos led or otherwise should be bought by known dealers or you get stuck with the chinese copies, you get what you pay for.
agreed. but 8 bucks compared to 200 is a no brainer. i can buy 10 sets and have back ups in case they break and still end up with enough money to fill up the car twice.
