yesterday morning's 4 high speed runs at Meister's testing grounds...
are going to prove awefully expensive...
I mocked fatchance for the blue tape...
I wish I had it yesterday morning...
although it would not have helped the 3 cracks in the windshield that I sustained as well...
to all - when following at speeds greater than the limiter's on most LX cars (non SRT's) make sure you are back more than 250 yards+...
as it is not far enough I found out...
that are draft within 5-10 feet...
maybe we should have tried that once, Dan...
what a great time and what a great trip!
the drive out was fun to say the least...
mustang svt's on the 101 in AZ - pfftttt...
stripping danrealtors parking/wash down area...
the meet itself with a ton of nice cars...
Sunday morning on the 101 again with dan and a rice rocket street bike that he thought he could run Dan...
only to have me slid up on his right side in the other lane honk and wave and have the guy freak out that were not only one SRT8's that were running with him at speed, but TWO SRT8's...
well I was the first to go and the bike and Dan soon followed...
needless to say we got smoked...
but he couldn't believe we hung around with him in the first place...
it was a good engine wrm-up for things to come later...
Sunday morning speed runs with my SRT8 wingman - DanRealtor out at Meister's testing grounds...
the sandstorm I went through on the 85 freeway back to San Diego yesterday - amazing none of the other SD cars got caught in it...
and the most important part for me...
personally seeing my friend Meister...
and hearing how "up" his spirits are and how he is going to win this fight...
all the other stuff we did to and fro was great and priceless memories...
but seeing and being there for Jim made the trip a memory I'll never forget.
thanks everyone!
I had a blast!!!
I can't wait to hear the SD convoy stories - so I can either confirm or deny culpability...

At the M&G you can not bring in alcohol but oops I did and didn’t get caught unlike Jay in his 300C.
Alex from ABG gave me his large cup with a straw and I decided that he needed a double shot…. For the record next time… don’t try and drink Patron thru a straw…
1Bad4Dr (Ron) Also came by and he had a quick double shot. NICE!
ChargerChick (Chris) Said with a smile…”Sure I’ll have one” she found out like everyone else that Patron is SSSSMMMMOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTHHHHHH!!!!
After that double she had… I saw that she was a little red in the face.
Of course I had a double as well… MMMM MMMM GOOD!!!
Now back at the poolside at the hotel… 9:30pm or so… 1000 degrees later!
ChargerChick tired to keep up but we didn’t bring any type of mix for the tequila. So she had to quit the tequila and stick with the Mike’s Hard Lemonade…
MattR had a few but then had to start adding the Hard Lemonade as well to the Patron.
1Bad4DR had a double shot again and then went to the room and got the laptop. Thanks for keeping the time. I think your new name is going to be BIG BEN! LOL
CBulter had a few shots to give his foot a nice relaxing time.
TMag, Fatchance, Sweeper6, zxlwno, and a few others had (can’t remember all names) had at least one drink with us before they headed off to bed.
Sorry but know one took a camera to take pictures. I was not going to bring mine just incase I ended up in the pool by accident. LOL
Oh I forgot… I had about 7 doubles just incase anyone wanted to know… and I just added ICE to mind… cause it was so freakin HOT out there!!!!

That would be Mr. cbutler who saw movement in the hood at a very high speed. But that did not seem to be a problem when he exceeded that speed the following day... but they will have to comment on that as I did not witness the event.
on the Sat. am run...
I had definitive hood shimy and vibrations...
Sunday morning...
after discussing with Meister the issue at hand Sat. at the M&G...
I turned my rubber bumpers underneath the hood in front of the engine and it helped cause no shimy or virbration on our runs sunday am...

Jason,
I'm sorry i asked you to buy the beer...
had I known it was a "dry" parking lot I never would have asked...
in the end...
it all worked out...
pretty expensive 12 ounce can of Budweiser though...
moses line was classic...
dan's still harrassing mutang owners to find out who narc'ed...
hehehehe
chris
Actually, I did earlier and even made a comment about it. However, I just now read his subsequent post about the sandblasting on his way back to San Diego. Good thing his windshield was already a mess. I would not look forward to seeing the condition of the paint, though....
I'd stop me driving the 300c....looks like a drug running car if i ever saw one.
yeeeeeeharrrr...

Having that foot cast must give a whole new meaning to the word 'lead foot'. Sorry to hear about the damages to your vehicle but I'm glad the trip was worthwhile regardless! I'm sad because I missed it.

brunno
thing is...
the boot is on the left foot...
just pressed into the dead pedal...
so no problems...
just always press down on the gas pedal and don't ever lift....
