Jim,
not worried about stone-pits...
as I am on the official unconfirmed list as of today's post at 1:52am...
my response was in regards to sleeper300's comment about running with me and Dan...
as neither of us are signed up officially...
and I am not signing up officially until I get my car back...
so if I miss out...
oh well...
at this rate...
I am even entertaining selling the car...
that is how bad this is getting...
ask fatchance - I don't even call him anymore...
and have talked to Dan 3 times in the last month...
Chris

Chris,

I am so saddened to see how this has turned into such an unsavory experience that it even taints your feelings about your car and is a barrier to relationships. Believe me, I can understand it, and I empathize with you. I've got a big old knot in my gut right now just feeling some of what you're experiencing.

Hang in there. When you get Vixen back we'll take a day up the mountains. And I'll keep Beast reigned in so you can remain in the lead and not have to worry about rock dings & pits.

J/K about the reigned in part, etc., but I'll be happy to be #2 all day and we'll keep Vixen pristine.

Regards,

Jim

stone pits

Stone chips are always a danger at any track. If this is a concern to you many of the "regulars" at Willow bring a roll of heavy duty masking tape ( the blue stuff) and tape over the nose or any other part of the car likely to be damaged by flying stones. I will say the track maintenance crew at Willow is very good at getting the track clean after any off track occurances.

Just to get you all familiarized and a little more excited about Willow Springs in Sept. - I set up an in-car camera for my track day on 6/22/06. I split-screened the exterior and interior into one clip and added a neat little track map to follow along with. I didn't break any lap records that day but it sure was a lot of fun.

Outstanding contribution, RexDog. You will have moved us ahead at least an hour of track time in learning the course if we'll merely spend some time with you and your fine tape.

I enjoyed doing one lap with you so far - many more just ahead.

Thanks again - most considerate of you.

Here are the lists, updated to show additional 'confirmed' and new details for the 'unconfirmed' and 'alternates'
*** Please review those details carefully! ***

Remember, if we don't have 20 pre-paid registrants, the event can't happen, so if your name is on the list, but you have decided you cannot participate, please send me a PM immediately so I can open up your spot. If you have encountered a problem with making payment, you can contact me via PM and I will help however I can.

I'm still taking names of alternates for the driver list
...And we'd love to have people sign up to join us for the caravan, a day at the track, and a night of fun afterwards!

The List Driving:
CONFIRMED
  1. HEMEEE/Simi Valley PAID
  2. 300TouringNproud/Agoura PAID
  3. Ozzie/No. Hollywood PAID
  4. fatchance/Huntington Beach PAID

It is only fair that we allow 2 weeks for the Alternates to get their finances together before the cost to participate goes up $50 (August 1st)... This means, as of July 17th, the remaining alternates will join the remaining unconfirmed on a 'first come, first served' basis.

Just an FYI for you guys and something you might want to check on from the host HEMEEE, is what is the current cut-off date for the DOT approved helmets. I know last year when I did the Nascar Experiance I used my own Helmet and they told me it was close to not being allowed anymore.

So before everyone starts buying helmets it might be a good idea to know what that date is before you buy or show up and find out that what you have is not allowable.

As requested!
