It appears all the activity and info have been shifted to this Forum.......
Sooooo, where are people staying, I already booked the Best Western as that was the happening at the time.
I just wish the "other forum" was updated as many people from there are going as well.
Most important, where is Miester staying???

Hi Mark, Welcome!
It's car show season or me, so I'm traveling alot and been real busy, but I've been keeping the list updated and that's been hard enough.
I believe everyone that is staying overnight plans to stay at the BW where you are. DanRealtor took over the lodging info so not sure what happened with getting the info over there, sorry...
There is additional info here regarding the tire and track info because DrBReed is one of the instructors... feel free to post your questions to him here, he doesn't go to the other boards.
...Other than that different conversations take place at different boards so many of us check them all, it would be a full-time job to copy everything to all 3 boards
I have been planning to stay at the Best Western since the beginning. Dan, I will be calling them up come tuesday for a room to stay at. Thanks for gettting the special rate for us. This site is just superb. I will also be trying for a helmet thru the connections from this thread thru Tim. As I was not having much traction on my own.
For those people staying at BW, I will look for you guys on thur. evening when I arrive. I don't think finding who you guys would be difficult. I'll look for the biggest smiles and loudest conversations.
*** Yeravener had to cancel, looking for a driver or two again - PM me if interested***
***VanAwesome*** you still in?? The list is now updated... again!
MattRobertson, Moose and Yeravener, we'll miss you

Here are a few items I suggest items you bring Anybody else with suggestions, please post 'em up!
- helmet if you've got one, try to borrow one from a friend with a motorcycle
- camera and/or video cam
- EZ Up canopies
- chairs
- sunscreen
- ice chest: bottled water, Gatorade (beer/spirits for the hotel)
- spray bottle (for cold water to cool yourselves)
- washcloths or hand towels (keep in the ice chest for the back of your neck)
Possible Plans: Pre-Race
The track opens at 8am
MANDATORY Driver's meeting starts at 8:30
I would suggest those leaving from the hotel leave about 7:30
Post-Race
There is a local Mexican restaurant, The Golden Cantina, about 3 miles away near the Rosamond airport, that Dr. Bob says they often go to for dinner, drinks, and bull sessions at day's end. Of course everyone can do as they wish, but sounds like fun for those that want to stop before heading back to the hotel.
Dr. Bob,
What time does class start on Friday?
Do we need to bring an apple?
Track opens at 8:00 AM. Drivers meeting is approximately 8:30 and class starts at approximately 9:00. No apple required!
As for apparel: I recommend long pants but bring shorts as they might be OK. Closed toe shoes are recommended like tennis shoes or running shoes or driving shoes if you like to show off. T shirts are ok also. If any more questions, let me know.
