You're just scared to run with the Big Boys on the Big Track. It's okay. Not everyone is cutout to be a race car driver!

While we're out running the fastest track in the west, you can probably find some ricers to smoke on the streets of NM to make you feel better

but in the hands of this cowboy...
not a good mix...

hey...
my first impression was you of spinning out in front of me while you hit the gas and spun it around too far...
good thing I had brembo's...

and good thing your dad isn't like mine who woulda hit me upside the head...

always PULLING your chain...

Cool Hmmmmm....

After further review, I am really looking forward to the 2400 ft straightaway with a 90 degree left turn at the end. That will be fun, fo sho.

At the end of tha straightaway would be the ideal place for a photographer.

Who wants to volunteer?

Trust us, we have Brembo's!

Since I will be one of the instructors, if anyone needs some info on track or any other details not covered by original post, do not hesitate to contact me. I have had my 300 SRT-8 at Willow twice this year and I have to tell you it is so sweet coming out of turn 9 at about 90 mph, in 4th gear, full throttle with almost about 1/2 mile of track ahead of me. Listening to the Hemi wind out.....man it doesn't get much better than that.

Thanks Dr.B!
Here's a little background...

Tim Herren is an SCCA member, and instructor, who runs a Barracuda Trans Am clone in SCCA Vintage races. He rents Willow Springs monthly for his own events and has a good working relationship with the track.
Dr.BReed is a 300Cforums member, SRT8 owner, SCCA Instructor and racing enthusiast. He asked Tim to help him put an event together for the LX's that would be similar to the SRT Track Experience, with less restrictions, and when he got the okay he asked me to help pull it all together and here we are!

If you do have questions for Dr. B, please post them in the thread so they get answered for everyone!
Thanks again Dr. Bob

UPDATES:
I have added some updates in post #1
Please review for the following:

- Tim and Bob were able to re-negotiate the fee to $275, saving $25!! (woohoo, more gas money )
- If you wish to split the fee, two drivers may share a car for an additional $75 (this arrangement is for 2 drivers, same car only)
- Helmets: if you don't have one, please try to borrow one if at all possible; you cannot get on the track without one and availability of loaners is extremely limited
- Spectators FREE: even if you don't want to race, sign up and join us for the pure fun of it

Only 14 racing spots remaining!
Those of you who have signed up will have the schedule & payment info you need soon

Actually, my buddy wants to come and do a video on the whole thing. He's a Visual Journalism major with me at Brooks Institute of Photography. I'll be bringing the good glass for sure, but I'l be driving too... so can't get all the pics. I'll see who else I can get to come and we'll see about doing a video afterwards. A lot will depend on who's doing what in school that session.. but I'll bet I can get a couple.
