Did you guys notice the freeway closures I posted in the M&G thread? If you take I-10 into town, do not take it all the way to the 202. If you do, you will be very sorry...probably a one hour delay. When you are on I-10, you will need to take the 101 loop (I believe it will be listed as Norhtbound) as you start to get into town. It will be the first set of freeway stacks that you approach. That 101 will take you around into Scottsdale with no construction stoppage. Sorry if this is redundant, but I just don't want you guys to get stuck in mud.

Let me know if you have any questions through PM or thread.

Moose.

Thanks Mooe! This will be useful info for us also, when we have to deaprt the meet by about 3:45... now we know to take the 101 "around" the closure.

Heads up, GT. You'll use a totally different stretch of the 101, as you'll be entering Phoenix from 10 East (Tucson).

The California gang will, obviously, be entering from 10 West (Blythe). Their Loop 101 North intercept point (at approx. 99th Ave.) in the West Valley is 25 miles or more from your desired Loop 101 North intercept point, reached by taking the Superstition Freeway East from 1-10 for 6 or 7 miles till you reach the Loop 101 North segment in the East Valley. This keeps you clear of the Loop 202 mess that Moose is warning of.

Just look up "Scottsdale Pavilions" in Google maps & all should be clear. Also, plug "Scottsdale Pavilions" into your NAV computer. The AD disk uses the single L spelling, and shows it accurately.

For all who will be taking any segment of Loop 101 to Scottsdale Pavilions (8900 E Indian Bend Rd.), your exit is Indian Bend Road (Exit 44).

Again, photo radar is alive and well in multiple locations along Loop 101 in Scottsdale.
