Convoy Info for 4/29 Scottsdale,AZ M&G

California Convoy info to 4/29 Scottsdale, Arizona Meet-N-Greet

The following will list locations, times & routes we will be traveling to the Scottsdale, Az Meet-N-Greet at the Scottsdale Pavilion.

1st Starting Point for OC & whoever else!

4:00am - Wickes Furniture at 3200 Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa. Which is at Harbor Blvd & the 405 fwy.

By 4:15 we’re gone !

5:00am – Banning, Ca. – Arrival time is approx.

By 5:15 or so we’re gone !

6:00am – Indio – only if needed for a break ! If you what I mean……….

7:30am – Blythe – This is approximately 220 miles from Costa Mesa. This will be a gas & rest stop.

Hopefully by 8:00am we’re gone !

10:30am – Scottsdale – We will check into the Hotel and then head for a place to have the cars cleaned up. (info pending)

1:00pm – Meet starts – Depending on time we may grab a bite before we get there our after we get there as it appears there are plenty of places to do so.
(again further details pending)

9:30am Sunday Departure back to SoCal - This does not have to be a convoy if everyone has something they'd like to do while in the Phoenix area. This is just the anticpated departure of fatchance, myself and a few others.

If those who are making the convoy trip could post which location you will attempt to hook up at and we will add it to the list so we'll know who to expect at each stop.

Our route from Costa Mesa will be: 405 fwy South to 55 fwy North to 91 fwy east to 60 fwy east to 10 fwy east. Phoenix & Scottsdale info pending.

Approximate mileage from Costa Mesa to Scottsdale is 381 miles

At 60 mph that’s 6 hrs 30 min - As If !!!

At 70 mph that’s 5 hrs 45 min - Come on now !!!

At 80 mph that’s 5 hrs 16 min - This works !!!

At cbutler speed that’s 4 hrs 20 mins - For the Brave at heart !!!

Please note that ALL the times are approximate and will be determined by traffic.

If you want to share your Cell Phone numbers with those in the convoy please “ PM “ them to me and I’ll create a list and PM everyone back. Also indicate your provider so those that have ‘IN” plans can save a buck if needed. (I've already been reminded that most of us have "FREE" weekends, so pardon my stupidity )

Bring your 2-Ways also. If you have the 2 channel types those would be preferred as it will allow us to hopefully find a more secure unobstructed channel.

Also remember chairs and canopy’s (pending) for sitting and shade.

Watch this space for more details !
