GTL came to Beach Burgers (from WV)!

Rather than tack this onto the Beach Burger M&G thread... I thought I'd start one of my own, just to show the pics I took and say a big

THANKS everyone!

This is a picture of Candy's Dad, my son, Jon, and me at the famous burger place on Beach Blvd. Unfortunately, the uncle, who came with us, was feeling a bit tired, and after talking with quite a few of the folks decided to recline in the back seat of the H.E. until we went home. However... he said he overheard lots of VERY POSITIVE comments about the car as we all milled about. THANKS!

The day started early for Derrell and I... 6:00 am (which is VERY early when you're on vacation from the east coast). We installed a new hot water heater, then fixed (we think) their sprinkler system by buying a new controller, installing and programming it. Finally we replaced a nearly clogged kitchen sink spigot... Then is was time to make a run to Costco for supplies (consumables) for our trip back to the east. While there we satisfied a craving for a wild berry sundae. Mmmmm, Mmmmm, good!

The girls were out and about making final arrangements for the after graduation party at a friend's home (beautiful back yard). When dad and I got home, we washed the H.E. (Note, bruno, that Candy did not have the car "out and about" - LOL), and then his old Crown Vic (which is for sale - contact me if you want further info). Then, when the girls got home we all cleaned up and went to Hacienda Heights for supper at an aunt and uncle's home.

After dinner us "guys" (including uncle Gus) headed for Beach Burgers. None of us really knew what to expect, although from the experience at Scottsdale I figured it would be lots of fun. We looked for 300s and LXs are we cruised down the 605 and the 405, and finally on Beach Blvd. We saw several nice cars (mostly 300s). Then when we turned into Beach Burgers... there was TMagnum motioning for us to take the center position next to the building. What an honor... for a way-out-of-towner!

I'll post pics of the other characters (I think I got most... but I'm sure I didn't get some)... in the next post.

Here's more pics from Beach Burgers on May 5th...

JonW bought his daughter a red RC 300C because she loves the color. When he told her that he was going to BB and would see a for-real red Heritage Edition, she told him that he should take the RC model along... and here it is... I WANT ONE TOO!

Here's JonW with is ride. He was impressing everyone with his StarScan and knowledge of the LX computer system. Spent a lot of time with son, Jon... just what were you talking about?

Another person JonW spent some time with was Mr. Incredible himself, and his beautiful daughter. Mr. I's ride is pretty "incredible" as well...

Another guy with a "knock out" ride (and his young son) was Knock Out Punch (Chuck, or was that "Chucky"). My son, Jon, thought his Charger was the best... no offense to the other SRT Charger present!

"Mo" continued his very friendly ways (we had met him in Scottsdale), and introduced us to Tia (IIRC) who came along for the ride (yeah, sure! - j/k).

3 CNotes (Steve - Thanks for the reminder!) parked his ride up close, once another space cleared... He had some really nice rims on his ride.

Silva300 and his Midnight Blue 300 with a great grill!

And here's where my memory fails me... I think this was Jim, but I can't remember for sure, and the screen name eludes me completely. However, the Charger R/T is killer! Nice jacket too!!!

This is Edward (CORRECTION! Andrew aka TheWagon - sorry about that)... but again his screen name eludes... it's embarrassing to be so absent minded, particularly since I first talked to him in Scottsdale! ARrrggh! Beautiful, Inferno Red Magnum... and I'm kind of partial to that color ya know...

However, it's hard to forget Might Noid, who came all the way down from Oxnard... again! I think he knows everyone!

Then there was the Brit with the SRT8 300C... was it Keezer... or Geezer? Sorry ol' boy! Correction: caligeezer finally got it... thanks for the post (below).

Here's Cam in his red Magnum. He came with a couple friendly friends after a hectic week at work and a couple of failed attempts to get together with us up in the Riverside area during the week.

Last but not least, there was FatChance (John). I got a picture of his car, but not of him (DOH!)... and there was the SRT8 Charger guy (no pic) and a cool vanilla C (no pic), and the Charger guy with armadillo (I know... it was really croc) on his seats and a fully wired (or was that wireless) computer-set up in the beast with cleanly installed inverted speakers under the back deck so that the trunk space was fully functional and accessible. I thought I had taken his picture... but... sadly no. Sorry about that.

Anyway... tomorrow morning we start back for the east with great memories of a great week with family... and new "groupie" friends (as Candy likes to call you all). We'll be seeing you around... and it won't surprise me that the H.E. (or maybe some upgraded SRT version) may one day return to the western climes...

GoofyTim!

Wow, thanks for posting those fun photos from the M & G at Beach Burger. It had to be exciting for you and in such a great community. It was especially nice to see photos of the great people I personally met at the Spring Fling (Tmagnum, 3CNotes, JonW, Mighty Noid, but no fatchance??)

Thanks for the nice memories and clarifying the information about Candy! Just wait until you meet Scarbrs on your return trip home!

Tim,

The Heritage looked nice out at the Meet. I love that all chrome grill! As you said, with everyone changing to aftermarket , that chorme OEM really stands out as unique.

Great way to document you travels with the pictures. It was a pleasure talking with you. Have a safe trip home.
