Hi Z-Man,
Sorry to hear your leather seats are too hot. Chrysler could solve this issue by offering A/C seats. I would think that it would be cooler to sit on seats with suede inserts. Our vendor James at 22 Elite does make them as I'm sure others do too. I haven't found the leather seats too hot to sit on at this point and it's a bit warmer where I live. Hopefully someone with seat inserts who lives in Arizona, Nevada, or Death Valley (j/k) will be able to help you out. It's important to keep the leather conditioned just to prevent drying out and leaving those ugly cracks, though.

Good luck.

thanks bruno
i do like the a/c seats, they are in the expedition.........wife drives the expedition. they are great but i feels like you wet your pants. i have a vendor here that has a different kind of leather called Tuscany leather..........it is supposed to breathe better and not get hot as much. don't know if the perforated would be the way to go or the suede........thx for the input

Remote start, a few minutes before you go to the car with the AC on and they should be cool enough when you get in.

Seat Ventilation & Heating System Kit

OEM quality seat accessory designed to keep passengers cool or warm while sitting on leather or cloth seat surfaces.

The Seat Ventilation System circulates cabin air throughout the seat, removing moisture and keeping the occupant cool. A heating element is integrated making this option great for all seasons. The system has high/low settings for seat cooling and seat heating.

A unique distribution layer and reticulated foam is used allowing a uniform flow of air around the occupant to reduce the heat build-up that commonly occurs during the hot summer months. The moisture removed between the body and the seating surface significantly increases comfort and the driving experience. The system is integrated with the a seat heater making this option perfect for all seasons.

Sat on my leather seats today, looked up thermo said 118 sitting in the driveway. Just got home from the carwash a half an hour before. Gardeners where just starting up their leaf blowers. Had to get in the garage before getting covered with dust/dirt/leaves.

WOW! It's cooled to 97.

Won't know how to act when I get to Buena Park tomorrow. Probably in the 80's and everyone will be sayiing it's to hot.
