Washington Auto Show

: : : Washington Auto Show 2007 : : :

I was thinking about going there Saturday around noon or so. I was thinking about picking up the metro at vienna but we could meet up outside the Convention Center and check out what they have.

Anyone want to go?

If you have never been you might be disappointed. It is mainly a New Car Dealers showcase. Most of the car are ones you can see in any dealer showroom. It is nothing like the Detroit, LA, New York or Chicago shows.

Thanks for the heads up Kev... I still think I'll go just to check it out and see what it's about. If it sucks I'll just save my $10 next year.

I'm going on Sunday with some future Hot Rodders (my son and 2 of his friends) as far as disappointment, Ive enjoyed the last 3 for what ever it's worth.
I even saw the Challenger concept (can't see that in a showroom) and many other cool custum cars.

i've been going since 1994 or 1995. i love it.
last year they had an obstacle course with jeeps and they drove them indoors (you could ride along but couldn't drive them for insurance reasons) and word on the street is they're bringing that back this year.
i've never been disappointed with the show in DC, but then again i've never been to a "real" auto show like those in geneva or frankfurt.
i'd go with y'all, but i'm already going on thursday with my gf then on friday with family. have fun

Going today at lunch

I know from experience that it take about 2 hours to get through the show. And yeah there are alot of local dealers there, but some concept stuff too, and it is nice to comparo the cars w/out some salesman all over you. The exotics usually you cannot touch, but high end Mercs, 911s, etc, you can crawl all over them.....

I'll let you know if there is anything that screams out "dont miss me..."
